About

Croyle was made by a necromancer out of other bodies. The village will not let him in, but it will pay him: villagers come to his workshop window with jobs, and he sews creatures to do them.

Drag parts from the shelf onto the slab: a body, a head, legs, arms, wings, a tail. The order shows what the job needs (Strong, Hands, Fast, Flies, Swims, Night eyes, Nose, Scary, Climbs) and each box turns green as the creature on the slab meets it. Send it out and watch it carry the crate, swim the river or fly the chasm on grafted wings. Parts rot after a few customers. Rent is due every night.

Some orders are fights, and so is the Necromancer's Trial at the end of each day. Fights play themselves. A card beside the slab shows the creature's shape against the foe's: health, might, arcana, hide, ward and speed, eight elements it is weak to or resists, and the moves its parts give it. A dragon head breathes fire; an eel tail discharges lightning; a crow head pecks at the eyes.

Posters on the workshop wall offer optional bosses. Beat one once and its kind (boar, bat, spider, bear, dragon) comes on the cart in every run after. At night the Gravedigger's cart sells parts, tonics and tools, and the Necromancer offers a gift.

Six days, twelve kinds of animal, over sixty orders, eighteen foes, an original score, and a Bestiary that remembers what each fight showed you.
